sphinx2.jpg (13609 bytes)In Egypt, with increasing levels of construction and development, the demand for expanded perlite also had begun to grow.

Mr. Ahmed Abu Khalil, involved in the construction business there and long known for his forward and innovative thinking, recognized the potential for growth and founded the first facility to produce expanded perlite in Egypt, The Egyptian Company for Manufacturing Perlite and Vermiculite.

The markets in Egypt are varied and were being met through imports from a variety of companies.  To enter the market, a new facility needed to be versatile, efficient, and capable of making better quality material than any of the current imports.

"QUALITY OF PRODUCT FROM OUR NEW INCON SYSTEM IS MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OF THE CURRENTLY IMPORTED MATERIALS"

To meet these demands, Mr. Abu Khalil chose a system based on Incon's H-22 furnace.  Although other systems were available from more local suppliers, the Incon H-22 stood alone in its ability to both meet his needs and to provide the rugged long lasting value especially important to a new startup.

Equally important to the decision, Incon is known throughout the world not only for its advanced equipment but also for its ability to support developing companies and their special needs.

The Egyptian Company for Manufacturing Perlite and Vermiculite began operations in September 2000 and is now capable of producing horticultural, construction, industrial, and cryogenic grade perlite products.  They have an annual capacity of 55,000 cubic meters.
